Cookies!!

Today I had a real craving for Nutella but I didn't have many ingredients to cook with so I improvised!
I mixed Nutella, eggs, and flour together to make a batter. Then I thought to myself, how could I make this even better? Two words: Peanut. Butter. So I mixed powdered sugar and peanut butter together and rolled that mixture into balls then chilled them in the freezer
After they became cool enough to keep their form, I put my Nutella cookie dough batter around each one and cooked them at 350 for 13 minutes.
Once they finished cooking I realized they weren't very sweet. So I dug around and found some chocolate bars and melted them down to put ontop of the cookies!
I got a bit artsy with the chocolate..and then they were perfect! Super delicious
But it didn't stop there! I realized I had chocolate left over and a couple peanut butter balls so I dipped them in the chocolate and made Reese's type chocolate balls!
They were also delicious. I hope these ideas inspire some of you to make something amazing!

I'm falling behind...

I literally keep forgetting to post twice a month so this is my chance to make up for it! Prepare for a ton of posts. This one is about prom!! I had sooo much fun with all my friends and my boyfriend. It truly was an amazing day! One of my favorite parts was taking pictures at my friend Olivia's ranch. Here are a few of my favorites:

It was so much fun because everyone looked so great and got to feel like a model for a day. We took quite a few pictures with my boyfriends truck, which he really liked. I hope everyone else's prom expeirence was just as memorable!

Nail Art

Something I really like to do beside cook is my nails. It sounds super girl but I love art and painting. Before I got my job at Pete's, I did my nails all the time (even other people's nails for money). But once I got my job I was no long allowed to have my nails painted :( that was a sad day. So for the first time in months, I did my nails! I got a manicure and a base color then once I got off work last night I added detail. This is how they looked after my manicure:
Then after I got off work the details began!
I did this with a nail polish with a fine brush
Then I added dots with a dotting tool
Then with glitter I added a final touch
Then I put top coat on and it was complete(:

Forgot a post in February

Looking back I noticed I didn't post twice in February so this one is to make up for it. I learned a new recipe at work for Cinnimon Knots (that we sell at Pete's). So I took some dough home and decided to make them. All you do is rough the dough out, cut it into strips, tie them and bake. Once I baked them I tossed them in a bowl with butter Cinnimon and sugar. They are seriously addicting! I made them four times over the weekend...damn my job is going to make me fat. Here's a picture of the finished knots (yes there's a heart, I made it from extra dough)

Oreo cake balls

Awhile ago I was craving Oreos and found this easy Oreo cake pop recipe! All you do is crush up a pack or Oreos, combine it with a pack of cream cheese and form balls. They are easier to dip in chocolate if you let them freeze for a couple hours. Once they are solid you can dip them in any chocolate you want (I did white chocolate). Then my favorite part was decorating! You can use crushed up Oreos but I found some colorful sugar bits so I ised those. After you decorate them(if you don't have sticks) out the balls on a sheet tray with a line of parchment paper and put them in the fridge to harden. Once the chocolate is hard they are ready to eat!

Pizza!

I decided I'm going to focus my blog on food since It's something I love. Saturday after work my boss let me take home some of the left over pizza dough from the restauraunt! So yesterday I decided to make pizza for lunch.
Right now I'm house sitting for a week and there's not much to cook with...so I had to improvise. Yesterday's lunch was the epitome of enginuity... Since I didn't have any sauce, I made a garlic white sauce. The only bad thing was I had no Parmesan cheese! So I searched around to see what I could find. In one of the drawers I found a stash of Parmesan packets for take out orders and what not. Luckily, I found about ten packets which came out to just enough cheese that I needed! So I finished my sauce and started to make the pizza.
I have watched the pizza guys at work make pizza so many times that it was really easy! I rolled out the dough, formed the crust, stretched it and tossed it. Once I had the dough ready I slathered on my garlic sauce.
Next step I needed to figure out was what to put on the pizza... I rummaged around in the fridge and found a rotisserie chicken and a three cheese "Mexican" blend. I pulled off some chicken, coated the pizza in cheese and it was ready for the oven!
I cooked it at 425 degrees for 15 minutes just like the pizza guys had told me in the past. It came out great!
The only thing left to do was slice it up and eat!
It. Was. Great! It was so good that I had friends over that night and made it again for dinner, just bigger
Once again, It was delicious. It was gone in a matter of minutes! If you would like the recipe for the garlic sauce you can ask for it in the comments :)
